In 1933, when Isaac Singer Featherweight model 221 for the first time the sewing machine at the Chicago World's Fair, he unveiled a machine, the story of the year again stretched on 80th The creation of the Featherweight 221 longevity can return to 1850, when Allen received his patent Wilson be attributed to the Rotary-hook stitch forming mechanism. Four years later, in 1854, Wilson would receive another patent for his four-motion feed. These 2 discoveries signaled the birthof the modern sewing machine. Today, modern electric sewing machines continue to use all of both the rotary mechanism and four-speed manual feed.

During the "glory" day of the Singer Sewing Machines, Singer produced the model 201 from the 1930s until at least 1950's. It was her best (and most expensive) machine. Thousands of these devices have been produced - and most of them are still sewing as finely and strongly today as it was then, as first established.
Research of the Singer 201 and more than an indication that the top 201 of the Singer sewing machine is always made available. While I can not authoritatively say the same thing (I have not tried all the machines Singer ever made!), I have not found anything on the 201, which I would disagree with this statement.
Perhaps the survival of an old Singer sewing machine can be attributed to the fact that the company has always placed high regard not just on quality but also durability. They are made of the strongest materials, and they are highly resistant to any substance that can easily cause deterioration.
Knowing the Age of Your Singer Sewing Machine
The first commercially sold sewing machines from Singer were released in the market during 1851st The company then has stopped production of one of the older models today, if you are still looking for their reproduction or imitation. Long ago, this old Singer sewing machines on the basis of their serial number which is then recorded in their logbook were identified.
